Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh Abul Kalam Abdul Momen has agreed on Lavrov's visit to Bangladesh, dates of the visit will be agreed additionally. The Russian Foreign Ministry reported on Monday.
"On November 21, at the initiative of the Russian side, a telephone conversation took place between Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Foreign Minister of the People's Republic of Bangladesh Abdul Momen. An agreement on the visit of the Russian foreign minister to Bangladesh has been reached, the dates of which will be agreed upon additionally," the report said.
In addition, the ministers discussed bilateral cooperation, noted the record values in trade turnover between Russia and Bangladesh in 2021. "The coordination between Moscow and Dhaka at the UN and other multilateral forums was highly praised. There was an exchange of views on other issues of mutual interest," the Russian MFA added.
