Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Qatari Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Mohammed al-Khulaifi recently discussed foreign policy coordination between their countries, focusing on the settlement of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. The discussions took place during al-Khulaifi’s working visit to Moscow.
"During the exchange of views on key topics related to the Middle East, the primary focus was on resolving the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. Both Moscow and Doha reaffirmed their interest in maintaining close foreign policy coordination, both bilaterally and on various international platforms," the Russian Foreign Ministry stated.
The meeting also covered the further development of Russia-Qatar relations, including enhancing cooperation in trade, economic, investment, and cultural and humanitarian sectors.
"On the same day, the Russian Foreign Ministry held detailed consultations with Mohammed al-Khulaifi, including discussions with Mikhail Bogdanov, the Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for the Middle East and African countries and Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia," the ministry added.
