Russian and Uzbek Foreign Ministers Sergey Lavrov and Abdulaziz Kamilov discussed preparations for Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's visit to Russia in Moscow.
"The sides exchanged views on topical issues of foreign policy cooperation, key topics of international and regional agendas," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement. - "The progress of preparation of the state visit of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Russian Federation was considered. In this context, the ministers verified a list of planned to sign interstate, intergovernmental and interdepartmental documents".
The Foreign Ministry noted that Lavrov and Kamilov confirmed their intention to continue close cooperation between the Foreign Ministries of the two countries, including mutual support in the fight against the spread of the coronavirus.
