Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has arrived in New York to lead the Russian delegation's participation in the 78th session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA).
According to a TASS correspondent, the minister's aircraft followed a northern route from Moscow to the United States, covering the distance in 11 hours and 40 minutes to avoid unfriendly countries.
The UNGA high-level week is scheduled to take place in New York from September 19 to 25. The Russian MFA previously announced that Lavrov intends to engage in approximately 20 bilateral meetings during the General Assembly session, as well as hold discussions with representatives of international organizations, including UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres. However, there are no separate meetings expected with American or Ukrainian delegations.
