Participation in the 5th session of the Russian-Arab Cooperation Forum of 14 Ministers and Government Ministers leading Foreign Ministries of the Arab League member countries is evidence of the dynamic development of friendly relations between Russia and the Arab League. It was claimed by the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, welcoming the participants of the session.
He expressed his opinion that as a result of the discussion, it will be possible to reach a common vision of ways to solve the many problems facing the Middle East.
«Together with our Arab friends, we aim to promote the settlement of numerous conflict exclusively by politico-diplomatic methods, on the basis of international law, with unconditional respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the countries concerned. It is known that the central topics of discussion at the session will be the situation for the Middle East and North Africa, including the Palestinian-Israeli settlement, crises in Syria, Libya, Yemen, as well as the fight against terrorism and the problem of nuclear non-proliferation.
