Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Hussein Abdallah al-Safadi noted good prospects for cooperation between the two countries in the fields of military and technical cooperation and nuclear energy.
"We have established good prospects for further cooperation in the energy sector, in particular nuclear, humanitarian, educational and military-technical cooperation," Lavrov said on Wednesday at a joint press conference following talks with his Jordanian counterpart.
According to the Russian Foreign Minister, the talks confirmed the mutual interest of Moscow and Amman to further develop cooperation in all directions in accordance with the agreements that have been reached at the highest level between the Russian president and the King of Jordan.
"We confirmed support from both sides to hold the next meeting of the intergovernmental commission for trade and economic cooperation as soon as the epidemiological situation allows," the minister added.
