Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will take part in the meeting of the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers on April 14, which will be held in Samarkand, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told a briefing on Wednesday.
"On April 14, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will take part in the regular meeting of the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers. This event will be held in Samarkand," the diplomat said.
She added that during the meeting, the foreign ministers will exchange views on current international and regional issues, discuss prospective areas of multifaceted cooperation in the Commonwealth format and sum up the results of inter-MFA cooperation in 2022. "Particular attention will be paid to international security issues, as well as to strengthening ties in the law enforcement, cultural, humanitarian and educational spheres," Zakharova added.
