Lebanese Health Ministry Reports 36 Fatalities in 24 Hours Due to Airstrikes

The Lebanese Ministry of Health’s Emergency Operations Center has released updated figures on the casualties resulting from Israeli airstrikes carried out over the past 24 hours. The strikes targeted Beirut and towns in the provinces of Baalbek-Hermel, Bekaa, Mount Lebanon, Nabatieh, Sidon, and Tyre. According to the report posted on X (formerly Twitter), 36 people have been killed, and 150 others injured.

 

The highest number of casualties was recorded in the southern regions, where 15 people were killed and 85 wounded. In Bekaa, six people lost their lives, and eight others were injured. No fatalities were reported in the capital, but 20 people were hospitalized with injuries.

 

The Ministry also provided updated figures on the total casualties from Israeli bombings and artillery shelling since the start of the military escalation in October 2023. The death toll from Israeli military attacks has now reached 2,119, with 10,000 wounded.
