Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim expressed his hope to enhance relations with Russia across all spheres during his conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF).
"We have significant potential that we have not yet fully utilized. We have decided to expand cooperation with Russia in all areas, and I very much hope that our relations will improve," Anwar Ibrahim stated.

Earlier, Malaysian Ambassador to Moscow, Cheong Loon Lai, described the visit of the Malaysian Prime Minister to Russia as a sign of the deepening relationship between Moscow and Kuala Lumpur.
