The government of the Republic of Mali has announced the inaugural meeting of the joint working group focused on cooperation with Russia. The meeting is scheduled to take place in Bamako from October 14 to 18, 2024, according to a communiqué issued by the country's Council of Ministers.
The discussions will center on strengthening ties in the areas of economy, trade, and investment, as noted by Mali's Ministry of Industry and Trade. Particular emphasis is expected to be placed on collaboration in sectors such as mining, exploration, energy, transport, infrastructure, agriculture, and digitalization.
In addition to representatives from Mali's Ministry of Industry and Trade, the forum is expected to include participants from the Russian Ministry of Economic Development, various other agencies, business circles, and potential investors.
