Cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia has shown its effectiveness, and relations between the two countries can be called exemplary. This opinion was expressed by chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko, speaking Thursday via video link at the Eurasian media forum held in Nur-Sultan.

Matvienko recalled that in 2021 Kazakhstan celebrates 30 years of independence. "All these years are marked by effective Russian-Kazakh cooperation, constant interaction at the level of heads of state, governments, parliaments, which is very important, regions of the two countries. Our relations can rightfully be called exemplary. We highly appreciate the level of trust and mutual understanding, this basic foundation helps us to overcome difficult modern challenges," she said.

The speaker of the Federation Council noted that in the midst of the pandemic the two countries supported each other, held consultations and exchanged experience. Kazakhstan has already set up production of the Russian vaccine Sputnik V, which provides an opportunity to make an important contribution to the fight against coronavirus.

"There is a lot to learn from the republic. Political stability, sustainable economic growth, and the conditions for people's prosperous lives have been created here. Kazakhstan is in constant motion, in development. President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has put forward a concept of "hearing state," which promptly and effectively responds to all constructive requests of citizens," Matvienko explained. In her opinion, such an approach is well received by society and "allows the republic to develop harmoniously, carry out reforms, and implement large-scale plans".
