Cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan is developing in the spirit of good-neighborliness and partnership in which parliaments play an important role. This is stated in the telegram of the Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko to the Speaker of the Senate of Kazakhstan Maulen Ashimbayev.
"Today cooperation between our countries has been taken to an unprecedentedly high level and is developing in the spirit of good-neighborliness, alliance and partnership. Parliaments play an important role in this close cooperation. A tree with deep roots will never wither. I am sure of the inviolability of the time-tested friendship between Russia and Kazakhstan. You and your colleagues can always count on all the help, support and assistance of Russian MPs," Matvienko said in a telegram sent to her on the occasion of Ashimbayev's birthday.
She wished the Speaker of the Senate of Kazakhstan health, inspiration, good luck and success in implementing the most daring plans. "You are distinguished by high professionalism, firmness, determination, responsible and selfless approach to business, and managerial experience and profound knowledge help solve complex problems and make balanced decisions in the most difficult circumstances. I know you as a proactive leader, a talented, erudite and not indifferent person," the speaker of the upper house of parliament wrote.
She added that she appreciates the trust and mutual understanding established between them. "I believe that we will always be able to consolidate the position of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, to develop a common perspective on how to strengthen inter-parliamentary dialogue. <...> Let your leadership qualities, creative potential and support of like-minded people become a strong basis for new achievements in the name of peace and stability of fraternal Kazakhstan," wished Matviyenko.
