Media: at least 25 people killed in Kabul bombings

At least 25 people were killed in several explosions in Kabul on April 19, the local Aamaj News agency reported.


It said the largest number of victims came after two consecutive explosions outside the Abdul Rahim School in the western part of the city.


Khalid Zadran, spokesman for the Kabul security directorate formed by the radical Taliban movement (banned in the Russian Federation), said, "There are currently six dead and 11 wounded in the Kabul bombings." Zadran also said earlier that there were three blasts in the Afghan capital. All explosions took place near educational institutions.


According to Aamaj News, a hand grenade exploded near a school. At least five people were wounded there. It is noted that the explosions occurred as students were leaving the school building. There is no information available about the cause of the other explosions.


However, as points out the TV channel Kabul News referring to eyewitnesses, as a result of explosions in Kabul killed or wounded at least 20 schoolchildren.


Information from the current Afghan authorities about the number of victims of the explosions has not yet been received.
