The number of victims of the earthquake in Paktika and Khost provinces, located in the eastern part of Afghanistan, exceeded 280, at least 250 more people were injured. This was reported by the Afghan agency Pajwok on Wednesday, with reference to the local authorities.
As the Afghan TV channel TOLOnews reported, the earthquake occurred last night. Several residential houses were destroyed. According to local authorities, search and rescue operations are currently underway in the disaster area.
