Israel Defense Forces soldiers opened fire in the north of the Gaza Strip, as reported by the Lebanese TV channel Al Mayadeen.
According to them, "occupation [Israeli] forces opened fire on the outskirts of Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, north of Gaza City."
Meanwhile, Al Jazeera notes the presence of Israeli Air Force planes over the Gaza Strip, with reports of "vehicles of the occupation [Israeli] army firing in the northwest of the Gaza Strip."
The situation in the Middle East has escalated since Hamas militants infiltrated into Israel on October 7.
Hamas calls the attack a response to Israeli actions against the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem. Israel announced a complete blockade of Gaza and began strikes on the Strip and parts of Lebanon and Syria. Clashes are also taking place in the West Bank.
