Military field exercises were conducted in the western region of Turkmenistan to enhance the professional skills of the armed forces personnel and other branches of the military, as well as to assess the combat readiness of the national army. This was reported by the official newspaper, Neytralny Turkmenistan.
According to the newspaper, these exercises are regularly held in the country to ensure coordinated actions among all branches of the armed forces, aiming to elevate the professionalism, strength, and defense capabilities of the military. The military doctrine of Turkmenistan is described as exclusively defensive, aligning with the nation’s peace-loving foreign policy of neutrality.
The primary objective of the exercises was to refine skills and combat training, executing coordinated maneuvers on land, in the air, and at sea using advanced methods, techniques, and combat tactics. The exercises included training and combat tasks such as neutralizing enemy sabotage groups and repelling enemy air attacks. A distinctive feature of these exercises was the extensive use of digital systems. Special emphasis was placed on the use of modern unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) with digital navigation and radar detection systems, along with other advanced weaponry.
The newspaper highlighted that during the exercises, Turkmen troops showcased their courage, agility, proficiency with modern equipment and weapons, and high levels of theoretical and combat training. Their actions were well-coordinated and adhered to statutory requirements. An exhibition featuring various military equipment, including drones and other weaponry, was organized as part of the exercise.
