The entry of Iran and Tehran in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) remains on the agenda of the organization.
The Ambassador at large of the Russian Foreign Ministry Bakhtiyor Khakimov declared in an interview for TASS.
“Iran’s entry is always on the agenda, as well as Afghanistan, as well as consideration of applications from other states for various statuses. These questions are constantly in our field of vision”, the agency quotes the Diplomat.
Khakimov mentioned that there are no categorical opponents of Iran’s entry into the SCO.
Nevertheless, there is not yet a unified position on this issue.
