The future of the Iranian nuclear deal depends on the willingness of the international community to respond to US actions. The Director of the Department of non-Proliferation and Arms Control of the Russian Foreign Ministry Vladimir Ermakov claimed about it in an interview for RIA Novosti.
“We believe that the future of the nuclear deal, as well as the global non-proliferation regime, depends largely on the willingness of the international community to seek consolidated answers to serious challenges from the United States, instead of unjustified attempts to somehow appease Washington,” the agency quotes the Diplomat.
Meanwhile, Ermakov has underlined that Russia welcomes the initiative of the UK, Germany and France to create "some kind of protective mechanism for the implementation of legitimate trade with Iran".
It is known that the future of the Iranian nuclear deal will be one of the main issues of discussion at the meeting of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, which will be held today in Sochi.
