Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin in a telephone conversation with his Azerbaijani counterpart Ali Asadov discussed issues of trade and economic cooperation between Russia and Azerbaijan, also paying special attention to implementation of joint projects in transport and energy fields.
"Following the talks held on November 17, 2022, in Baku, the heads of governments discussed urgent issues of Russian-Azerbaijani trade, economic and investment cooperation. Mikhail Mishustin and Ali Asadov paid special attention to implementation of joint projects in transport, energy and other areas," the Russian government said in a statement published on its website on Tuesday.
Earlier, it was reported that a package of documents was signed following the talks between the two prime ministers on November 17, 2022, in Baku. The agreements concern information cooperation in the field of combating money laundering and financing of terrorism in the cross-border movement of cash by individuals. Agreements were signed on ensuring the epidemiological well-being of plague in the border natural foci and joint activities in the implementation of international medical and sanitary rules. A number of documents were also adopted on cooperation in shipbuilding, bilateral development of state border crossing points and transport approaches to them, interaction in training and retraining of personnel in the transport sector, and economic cooperation.
