Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, who is visiting Kazakhstan, will take part in the forum "Digital Almaty 2023: Digital Partnership in a New Reality" on Friday and continue discussions with colleagues from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan at a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental council.
The Russian prime minister will speak at the forum and visit an exhibition of digital projects. The annual international digital forum is held for the fifth time. It is the largest event in the CIS space in the field of innovative technologies, which this time brought together several hundred participants from 30 countries, representing government agencies, leading IT-companies, venture capital funds, technology parks of Central Asia, the Middle East and South Asia. The forum will address the rapid transition of the industry from automation to digitalization, the prospects for digital mining, and the development of the IT industry in the Eurasian space. The traditional Digital Almaty Awards for outstanding achievements in the field of digitalization will be presented.
Then Mishustin will attend a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental council. On Thursday the meeting was held in a narrow format, on Friday it will continue with the participation of delegations.
The agenda includes discussion of Eurasian integration, functioning of the internal market of the Eurasian Economic Union, financing of industrial cooperation, single markets, development of agriculture, technical regulation and cooperation in the energy sector. It is planned to sign joint documents afterwards.
