NAC reported on a decrease in the number of terrorist crimes in Russia

Over the past five years, the number of terrorist crimes committed in Russia has decreased by nine times, Igor Kulyagin, First Deputy Chief of Staff of the National Anti-terrorist Committee (NAC) told MIA "Russia today".


"For 5 years, from 2015 to 2019, their number has decreased by 9 times", he said, in particular, calling it a "significant decrease".


Kulyagin recalled that the category of terrorist crimes includes not only the facts of preparing terrorist acts but also recruitment to terrorist organizations, public calls for terrorism, hostage-taking, etc.


As for the results of the NAC's work in 2019, the activities of 78 cells of banned organizations that planned terrorist attacks and attacks on government officials were suppressed in Russia during this period.
