The great majority of the world's population did not join the West's odious campaign to "abolish" Russia, and disagreement with the aggressive policies of Western countries is being heard, Sergey Naryshkin, Chairman of the Russian Historical Society (RHS) and Director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR), told reporters on Thursday.
"The very meeting with Chinese partners and the closeness of Chinese and Russian assessments of the development of the current situation in the world confirm once again that the great majority of the world's population did not join this odious Western campaign for the so-called abolition of Russia; moreover, disagreement with such aggressive, cynical policy of the totalitarian and liberal regimes of the West sounds more and more loudly," he said after the Russia-China round table at the RHS.
As Naryshkin noted, there is a growing understanding of the global transformations taking place in the world, and in this regard, "the role of interaction between experts - historians, political scientists, philosophers - cannot be underestimated." "And we will, of course, continue this work, including with our Chinese colleagues," he added.
