Russia's Permanent Representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya asserted during a meeting of the UN Security Council that those who did not support Russia's humanitarian resolution on the Middle East share a degree of responsibility for the events that happened in the Gaza Strip.
"Those who chose not to support our humanitarian resolution yesterday, which called for an immediate ceasefire, must recognize that they share a degree of the responsibility for the events that unfolded in Gaza," he stated.
He emphasized that the delegations which opposed Russia's amendments to Brazil's resolution were essentially taking a stance against putting an end to the bloodshed in the Middle East.
