Nine rockets were fired on Wednesday toward Israel from the Gaza Strip. The army press office informed about it.
"Nine rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip toward Israel this evening. Four of them were intercepted by 'Iron Dome'. Four more rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip after a second alert, which landed in open ground," the text of the statement reads.
The KAN TV channel also reported that the rocket that wasn't intercepted hit a factory in the industrial zone of the city of Sderot.
Agence France-Presse (AFP) had previously reported the launch of several rockets from the Gaza Strip toward Israel.
According to the Al Mayadeen TV channel, the shelling took place amid clashes between Palestinians and police at Al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem.
