The number of Palestinians killed Wednesday in an Israeli raid in the West Bank city of Nablus has risen to nine, with 97 injured, the Palestinian health ministry told reporters.
Earlier, six deaths on the Palestinian side were reported.
"Nine Palestinians were killed and 97 were injured in a raid by Israeli forces today in the West Bank city of Nablus," the statement said.
Earlier Wednesday, the Israel Defense Forces (Tzahal) announced a raid in Nablus to arrest Palestinians suspected of terrorist activity. According to Palestinian media reports, there were clashes and shootings during the raid.
