The number of casualties from the Israeli airstrike on the southern suburbs of Beirut has increased to four, including two children aged four and six. The Ministry of Health of Lebanon reported this update, noting that earlier reports had confirmed only one deceased woman.
According to Al Mayadeen TV, rescue efforts are ongoing, with teams using heavy equipment to remove rubble and search for missing individuals. The number of injured has risen from 68 to 74, all of whom have been treated at city hospitals. Of these, 65 have been discharged, while the remaining patients require surgical intervention. Debris removal continues on Haret Horeik Street, where one of Hezbollah’s Shiite militia headquarters was located. Eyewitnesses suggest the death toll may still increase.
On July 30, Israeli Air Force fighter jets fired four rockets at the southern suburb of Dahiya in Beirut, a Hezbollah stronghold. The rockets destroyed a four-story building and damaged nearby structures and parked cars.
The attack targeted Hezbollah's military leader Fuad Shukr, who headed its operational headquarters. Although initially reported to have escaped, Shukr later died in the hospital from his wounds.
Earlier this year, on January 2, Israeli UAVs struck Hamas headquarters in southern Beirut, resulting in the destruction of a three-story building and the deaths of Saleh al-Arouri, deputy head of the Hamas politburo, along with six others, including two Hamas commanders.
