Over the past five years, Russia has signed an agreement on military cooperation with 39 countries, Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomin told Krasnaya Zvezda newspaper.
"During this period, 39 new agreements on military cooperation were signed with the states of the Middle East, Africa, Asia-Pacific region and Latin America," he said, in particular.
According to Fomin, in addition to the development of military-technical cooperation with traditional partners India and China, particular success has been achieved in cooperation with Myanmar, Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia.
Cooperation with the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Indonesia, Algeria, Angola, Egypt, Mali, Morocco, Mozambique, Nigeria, Sudan, Uganda, South Africa, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Venezuela, Cuba, Nicaragua, Peru and Zambia is also actively developing.
