Russian leader's spokesman Dmitry Peskov has confirmed to TASS the upcoming August 5 talks between Russian and Turkish Presidents Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Sochi.
Earlier on Tuesday, the administration of the Turkish president said that Erdogan plans to arrive in Sochi on August 5 for a one-day visit for talks with Putin. According to Ankara, the two sides plan to discuss bilateral and regional issues during the talks.
Erdogan and Putin last met in Tehran on the sidelines of the Astana Troika summit on July 19. The leaders have also spoken by phone several times in recent months. Erdogan last visited Russia in September last year, when he also had a meeting with Putin in Sochi.
