Russia values its multilateral relations with Kazakhstan and fixes positive dynamics of their development, Russian Presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Wednesday in connection with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken's statements at a press conference during his visit to Astana.
Peskov was asked whether Blinken's anti-Russian statements in Kazakhstan would undermine relations between Moscow and Astana.
"No," the Kremlin spokesman responded. - "We value our relations. We are also united by bilateral ties, which are multilateral in many ways. We are united by joint participation in integration projects. And we are recording a very positive dynamics of development of these ties."
At a press conference Tuesday with Kazakhstani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mukhtar Tleuberdi, Blinken said among other things that the United States is "firmly committed to the sovereignty, territorial integrity and independence" of Kazakhstan and Central Asian countries, linking his words to the anniversary of Russia's special military operation in Ukraine.
