Plant to produce Russian coronavirus vaccine to be built in Kazakhstan

The plant to produce the Russian coronavirus vaccine will be built in Kazakhstan in the near future. This was announced on Wednesday by President of the Republic Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at a session of the Collective Security Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), which is held in a video conference mode.


"I would like to take this opportunity to thank you, dear Vladimir Vladimirovich [Putin], for your assistance in overcoming the pandemic. As a follow-up to our agreement, a plant to produce Russian vaccine will be built in Kazakhstan in the very near future," Tokayev said.


November 27, Kazakhstan's Minister of Health Alexei Tsoi said at a briefing that the country's authorities are working on the construction of a plant in the country to produce the Russian coronavirus vaccine, now is studying the sites for such a plant.
