BRICS has become a successful model of cooperation, said Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian during the BRICS+ outreach session at the group’s 16th summit.
“The BRICS group has managed to establish itself as a successful model for cooperation and bringing countries closer together on both regional and international levels,” he said, stressing that building a “better world is impossible alone.” Pezeshkian also called for the creation of a more balanced global order based on justice and stability, without wars, sanctions, or genocide.
“In the near future, countries operating under the unipolar world paradigm will impose numerous restrictions on developing nations' access to new technologies. To overcome these barriers, we must work together. We will have no choice but to invest collectively, share experiences, and accelerate the creation of joint enterprises,” Pezeshkian added. He believes that artificial intelligence technologies will have the most profound impact on humanity's future.
“Using national currencies in trade transactions, new banking platforms, digital currencies, and strengthening the New Development Bank and the BRICS Reserve Fund (the Contingent Reserve Arrangement—TASS) will help create a better world for all,” the Iranian president concluded.
