Presidents of Russia and Kazakhstan Vladimir Putin and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will meet on August 19 in Sochi, the Kremlin press service reported on Thursday.

"As part of the regular dialogue at the highest level, it is planned to discuss the further development of Russia-Kazakhstan relations of strategic partnership and cooperation," the statement said.

In addition, the Kremlin added, the problems of bilateral cooperation within the framework of integration associations, including the CIS, in which Kazakhstan is chairing this year, will be touched upon.

Last time the presidents met in person in June in St. Petersburg, then Tokayev took part in the plenary session of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. In July, the Russian and Kazakhstani leaders had a telephone conversation in which they confirmed their commitment to the consistent implementation of projects in the trade, economic and energy spheres.
