Russian President Vladimir Putin has extended his congratulations to Shavkat Mirziyoyev on his re-election as the President of Uzbekistan. In his congratulatory telegram, Putin expressed confidence in the further enhancement of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries. "I extend my sincere congratulations on your re-election as the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan," the telegram stated. "I am confident that our joint efforts will lead to the consistent development of mutually beneficial cooperation across various areas of bilateral relations, as well as coordination in regional and international affairs," Putin conveyed.
Putin emphasized Russia's high regard for the "principled policy aimed at strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance between Russia and Uzbekistan." He stated that this approach "aligns with the aspirations of both the Russian and Uzbek people."
