"Discussing the issue of settlement in Syria, the effectiveness of Russia's efforts to restore the independence and territorial integrity of the Syrian state was noted. The importance of normalizing the humanitarian situation in this country is emphasized, " the message reads, in particular.
As for bilateral cooperation, the leaders of the two states "highly assessed the level of cooperation achieved, primarily in the energy and investment spheres."
"They expressed a mutual intention for the further progressive development of the entire complex of Russian-Qatari relations," the Kremlin said.
It is emphasized that the parties also exchanged views "on a number of key international topics, including the situation on the world hydrocarbon markets".
"The parties agreed to establish direct cooperation between the ministries of health in the field of countering the spread of the coronavirus infection," the report adds.
The leaders also touched upon issues of military cooperation and cooperation in the field of defense.

Separately, as noted in the Kremlin, Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated Emir of Qatar Tamim al Thani and the people of the state on Eid al-Fitr.
