08 May

During the summit of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), Russian President Vladimir Putin hailed the EAEU's evolution into a significant and self-reliant entity within the burgeoning multipolar world.

"We are pleased to observe that our union has solidified its position as a robust and self-sustaining entity amidst the evolving multipolar global landscape over the past decade," remarked Putin.

Highlighting the significance of the summit, which commemorates the 10th anniversary of the signing of the treaty establishing the Eurasian Economic Union, Putin underscored the pivotal role of this foundational document in shaping Eurasian integration.

"This treaty serves as a cornerstone, laying the groundwork for the entire process of Eurasian integration," Putin emphasized.

Putin also emphasized a key objective outlined in the treaty: the establishment of a unified market within the EAEU, facilitating the free flow of goods, services, capital, and labor. Moreover, the treaty embodies fundamental principles of integration, including equality, mutual benefit, respect, and consideration of each member's interests, as reiterated by the Russian President.
