Russian President Vladimir Putin held a separate meeting with the leader of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in the margins of the informal CIS summit and invited him to come to Russia early next year.
Tokayev, in particular, touched upon the issues of education during the conversation. According to him, Kazakhstan needs technical specialists, and education could be obtained in branches of leading Russian universities.
"Of course, the issues you have now touched upon are extremely important. And education, and energy, digitalization. Well, these are just key things. So, of course, if you found time somewhere at the beginning of the year, we would be very happy to see you," Putin said.
"Okay. Thank you, Vladimir Vladimirovich," Tokayev said.
