Putin: New Agreement with Iran to Boost Cooperation Across All Sectors

17 January

The Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement signed on January 17 between Russia and Iran will provide momentum for practical cooperation in all areas, Russian President Vladimir Putin noted during his meeting with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.

"Your visit today holds special significance, as we will not only have the opportunity to discuss all aspects of our cooperation but also sign a major foundational agreement between Russia and Iran on comprehensive strategic partnership," the Russian leader stated.

Putin highlighted that Moscow and Tehran had been working on the document for a long time. "I am very pleased that this work has been completed. This is important because it will allow us to provide additional momentum in virtually all areas of our cooperation," he added.
