Russia will continue to help Chad with training, including for the armed forces, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
Putin met today with the ambassadors of 23 states.
"Strengthening Russia's political and economic ties with the Republic of Chad is in the interests of both states. Russian companies supply machinery, equipment and other industrial products needed to modernize Chad's economy. We will continue to help your country through the UN World Food Program and train national personnel, including for the armed forces," he said.
The Russian leader stressed that Russia and Jordan maintain a multifaceted political dialogue, including at the highest level, discussing pressing international issues. He noted that the positions of the two countries are close or coincide in many respects on issues related to the Middle East settlement. "I will also mention that Russia and Jordan have good opportunities for expanding bilateral cooperation in the economy, energy, military-technical and other fields," the president added.
As for relations with Indonesia, Putin mentioned the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties in 2020. "We see prospects for the implementation of new joint projects in nuclear and hydropower, in the development of transport and urban infrastructure, aviation and shipbuilding," the Russian head of state said, also noting the fact that the countries seek to coordinate positions on the current global and regional agenda and work together at various dialogue platforms in the Asia-Pacific region, including within the framework of the Russia-ASEAN format.
Speaking about ties with Mozambique, Putin noted that it is a time-tested partner on the African continent. According to him, Russia and Mozambique are interested in further increasing contacts along the political line, strengthening cooperation in the energy sector, hydrocarbon production and production of chemical fertilizers.
