Russian President Vladimir Putin has assured Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan that he will definitely visit Turkey for talks. During their meeting in Astana, Erdogan expressed his hope to see Putin in Turkey "as soon as possible."
"I will definitely come," Putin responded, thanking his Turkish counterpart.
The Kremlin previously reported that Putin's visit to Turkey is in advanced stages of planning, with the matter being discussed at the level of both countries' foreign ministries. However, specific dates have not yet been agreed upon due to the busy schedules of both presidents. Turkish media last mentioned the possibility of a visit in February, but those plans were not confirmed.
The last time Putin visited Turkey was in January 2020. Despite this, Putin and Erdogan remain in regular contact, holding frequent discussions, including by phone.
