Russian President Vladimir Putin will be participating fully in the upcoming BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) summit via video conference, according to Dmitry Peskov, the spokesperson for the Russian leader.
According to him, Russian President Vladimir Putin has chosen to participate in the BRICS summit via a video conference call, ensuring his "full engagement in the event."
While Putin will be participating virtually, "Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will represent Russia in person at the summit."
The BRICS summit, scheduled to take place from August 22 to 24, will bring together the leaders of Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa in Johannesburg.
