Putin to hold a meeting with the Security Council

Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold an operational meeting with the permanent members of the Russian Security Council (SB) on Monday, Dmitry Peskov, presidential spokesman, told TASS.


He did not announce whether the meeting would discuss the situation with the Crimean bridge, where a truck blew up on the morning of October 8. "We will report on the results," the Kremlin spokesman said.


Putin holds regular operational meetings with the Security Council, usually on a weekly basis. At the most recent meetings, the agenda included organizing partial mobilization, cooperation with CIS countries, patriotic upbringing, and providing accommodation for Russian Armed Forces personnel. In addition, at one of the meetings, the president touched on the topic of supplying grain and fertilizers to the world markets and stressed that they should be equitable and go to the poorest countries.


The permanent members of the Council are Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko, Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev, Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, FSB Director Alexander Bortnikov, Presidential Administration Head Anton Vaino, Special Representative of the President on Environmental Protection, Environment and Transport Sergey Ivanov, Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, Foreign Intelligence Service Director Sergey Naryshkin.
