Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold talks with Indonesian President Joko Widodo, who is visiting Moscow, on 30 June. Russian Presidential Aide Yury Ushakov told reporters about this on Monday.

"On June 30, immediately after his return from Ashgabat, the President will receive his Indonesian counterpart Joko Widodo. There will be a working visit in the context of Indonesia's G20 presidency," Ushakov said.

"Dialogue will continue on the topics that were touched upon in April, but also on the full range of issues put by Jakarta on the G20 agenda," he said. "Of course, the leaders will discuss various aspects of the international situation, taking into account the Ukrainian factor, also, of course, the problem of food security, opportunities to increase exports of Russian agro-industrial products, including wheat and fertilizers," Ushakov explained.

The Presidential Aide said that the talks were scheduled for 30 June. "He [Widodo] will be here on a working visit. By the way, this is his first visit to Moscow. He was in our country in 2016, but in Sochi," Ushakov said. He recalled that the leaders were in regular contact: they met in 2014 at the APEC Forum in China, in 2016 in Sochi during the Russian-ASEAN Summit, and in 2018 at the East Asia Summit events in Singapore.

In addition to it, a telephone conversation between the leaders took place on 28 April this year. "The bilateral aspect here is undoubtedly important, but equally, if not more important, is the fact that Joko Widodo is coming to us as Head of state for the G20 presidency," the Kremlin representative stressed.

Ushakov recalled that Russia and Indonesia were working together in areas such as supporting equitable recovery from the pandemic, ensuring financial stability, the climate agenda, digital transformation and other issues.

The Kremlin Spokesman noted that Widodo was currently taking part in the G7 Summit and would then "in these literally days and hours before Moscow, allegedly, make a short visit to Kiev and then come to us already". "We hope for a constructive and meaningful conversation," Ushakov concluded.
