The Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) will be held in Russia next week, with leaders arriving in Moscow on the evening of October 7.
Russian President Vladimir Putin will take part in the event, according to Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, who confirmed this in response to a question from TASS during a briefing.
"Next week, there will be a meeting of the CIS Heads of State Council, a full-format session with a substantial agenda," Peskov said, adding that the CIS leaders will gather with the Russian president on the evening of October 7.
