Saudi King Salman bin Abdul Aziz al-Saud has sent an invitation to the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, to take part in the emergency summit of the Arab League, which will be held on May 30th in Mecca.
According to Al Jazeera, an escalation in the Persian Gulf and the situation around Iran will be the central theme of the extraordinary summit.
It is known that in 2017, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and several other countries in the region broke off diplomatic ties with Qatar, accusing its authorities of financing terrorism. Doha, at the same time, strongly rejects all charges.
