The world community's failure to halt Israel's aggression in the Gaza Strip is unacceptable and inexplicable," stated Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita in Marrakech following talks with Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki.
"Morocco consistently and unconditionally supports the establishment of a Palestinian state, along with all efforts made by the Palestinian authorities to secure the rights of the Palestinian people," emphasized Bourita. His remarks were quoted by the press service of Morocco's foreign ministry.
"The world community's failure to bring an end to the Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip is unacceptable and inexplicable," stated the Moroccan foreign minister.
Bourita and al-Maliki are in Marrakech to attend the sixth session of the Russian-Arab Cooperation Forum, scheduled for December 20 at the foreign ministerial level.
Moroccan authorities and the public traditionally exhibit heightened interest in developments within the Middle East conflict zone. King Mohammed VI serves as the Chairman of the Committee on Jerusalem under the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, with a primary focus on preserving the spiritual and civilizational significance of the city.
