Resigned president of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbekov said that his conscience was clean before the people

Sooronbay Jeenbekov who resigned from the post of the president of Kyrgyzstan on October 15 stated that his conscience before God and the people of the country was clean. He made such an appeal at the session of the parliament held on Friday.

 


"I am clean before God, before my people," Jeenbekov said.

 


According to the speaker of the parliament Kanat Isayev, Jeenbekov's position deserves respect because after the events that took place in the country and his resignation "he did not flee from the republic".

 


The former president of Kyrgyzstan admitted that there were shortcomings and faults in his work as the head of state and asked his fellow citizens to forgive him.

 


"I express my great gratitude to all the Kyrgyz people who believed in me and supported me during these three years of my presidency, to all branches of the government, state and local bodies with which I worked together, to my staff, civil society and the media sphere," Jeenbekov concluded. - "I wish success to the new government, which laid on its shoulders the responsibility for the fate of the country and the people".
