The Turkish Defense Ministry confirmed the departure of three dry cargo ships, Navistar, Rojen and Polarnet, carrying grain from Ukrainian ports on Friday morning.
All vessels, as noted, will be checked by representatives of the Joint Coordination Center (JCC).
The vessels will be sent via a humanitarian maritime corridor to Istanbul, where they will be inspected by representatives of the Joint Coordination Center, Al Jazeera reports.
Turkish dry-cargo carrier Polarnet transports 12 thousand tons of corn, there are 13 thousand tons of corn onboard the Rojen vessel flying the flag of Malta. The Panamanian-flagged dry cargo ship Navistar is carrying 33 thousand tons of corn. The JCC monitors the movement of ships, the report said.
Earlier the JCC approved the departure of three vessels from Ukraine - two from Odessa and one from Chornomorsk, they will carry 58 thousand tons of corn through the humanitarian corridor across the Black Sea. As the JCC informed, Polarnet will deliver the cargo to Turkish port Karasu, Navistar - to Irish Ringaskiddy, Rojen - to British Tisport.
Last Monday, the first agricultural products from Ukraine were carried by the Sierra Leone-flagged cargo ship Razoni. On Thursday, having passed the Dardanelles, it left Turkish territorial waters and headed for Lebanon. The vessel is carrying about 27 thousand tons of corn.
