Russia and the Central Asian countries will take measures to prevent the incitement to ethnic, cultural, linguistic or religious hatred. The text of the joint statement on the results of the meeting of the leaders of the countries in the Central Asia-Russia format, which was held in Astana on Friday, was made public by the Kremlin press service.
"We will take all necessary measures to prevent the incitement of hatred on national, historical, cultural, linguistic or religious grounds," the document reads.
Russia and the Central Asian countries also call for careful treatment of memorials and monuments dedicated to the years of World War II. "We call for careful attitude to memorials and monuments dedicated to the years of World War II, and we will encourage the study and popularization of the heroic participation of the peoples of Central Asian states and Russia in that war and other significant events of historical significance for all countries," the document reads.
