Moscow and Tehran have signed an intergovernmental agreement on the establishment and working conditions of information and cultural centers in Russia and Iran, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Tuesday at a news conference following talks with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif.
"Today we signed an intergovernmental agreement on the establishment and terms of operation of information and cultural centers of Russia in Iran and Iran in Russia," Lavrov said. - "Our country will be glad to have an opportunity to get closer to the ancient original Iranian culture."
The head of the Foreign Ministry also drew attention to the growing interest from the Iranian side "to the language, culture and traditions of our multinational, multi-confessional country".
