West Jerusalem was the venue for Russian-Israeli consultations on consular matters, which, in addition to foreign ministry workers, were attended by law-enforcers and other relevant agencies from both countries.
According to the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the parties discussed the status of and the prospects for cooperation on a broad range of consular matters.
The main attention was paid to the reasons behind the growing incidence of refusals to allow Russian nationals visa-free travel to Israel.
Following the talks between Russia and Israel the parties stated the increased dynamism of this dialogue, confirmed their commitment to boost cooperation on consular support for bilateral ties, including in trade and as part of economic, investment, cultural and educational cooperation and tourist exchanges.
